About PMCO

ProMusica Chamber Orchestra delivers a unique classical music experience that enriches and inspires people in Central Ohio and beyond – through innovative chamber orchestra programming, educational outreach, audience intimacy, and artistic excellence.  Known for commissioning and performing new works, ProMusica has commissioned over 50 pieces and has presented more than 100 premieres.

Bringing world-wide musical talent to Columbus since 1978, ProMusica offers an adventurous musical experience through intimate performances on the stages of the Southern Theatre and the Pontifical College Josephinum. Renowned conductors and captivating guest artists join our magnificent little orchestra for a distinguished and inspiring experience.

Education has been central to the mission of ProMusica Chamber Orchestra since its beginning. Our orchestra strives to fulfill the needs of the local community while delivering engaging and educational programs that develop appreciation for and understanding of classical music. The Education and Outreach Program strives to establish a Columbus-area community which values musical experiences at every age and integrates music into their daily lives.
